Classic and Rustic Bedrooms

Some of Roche Bobois’ furniture only appears ancient because of the antique aging process and hand-waxed lacquer finish but the detail in craftsmanship is undeniable so we won’t hold that against them. Using metallic fabrics and bold color in unexpected places while remaining true to the idiosyncratic fashion of the old world is simply a great combination for any period room. Wouldn’t it be grand to wake up in one of these royal-sized beds with the sun shining into your massive french windows as you examine the finishing touches of such flawlessly elaborate architecture and ponder the meaning of life?

Enjoy in Canopy Beds

Enjoy in Canopy Beds

A canopy bed is a four-poster bed with a canopy of fabric overhead. Alternately, the canopy can be hung from the ceiling.

Historically in Europe canopy beds have been a status symbol and were made using the most expensive fabrics available-silk, damasks and brocades with gold and silver threads. They were very elaborate with heavy curtains completely enclosing the bed to keep the warmth in.

With the advent of modern heating, the canopy became more decorative and less functional, sometimes supported by just two posts at the head of the bed and extending only a few feet. In warmer climates a canopy might be made of mosquito netting.

Slim Bathtubs

Slim Bathtubs

In small spaces, these slim bathtubs by Kos are in their element! The new Geo bathtub comes in 170×70 and 180×80 dimensions, sizes that feel much larger than they are thanks to the ultra-thin walls. Between the inner and outer shell, the tub’s technical elements are concealed, resulting in a clean, minimalist design. In small spaces, these freestanding baths are a perfect fit; in larger spaces, why not enjoy a little extra breathing room?

No longer do you have to choose between a bathtub or shower and that towel hutch you’ve been eyeing! You can have it all.

Room Design Ideas for Teenage Girls

Looking for fresh design ideas for pretentious and stylish teenage girls?  For today we’ve gathered together a set of pictures which represent teenage girls’ rooms. We tried to do a various selection: we went with some serious and sober interiors, but we also gave a shot to the familiar and very popular pink, orange and red arrangements. All of the girls’ rooms are practical, featuring working spaces, small bookcases or shelving systems for books and Cds and beautiful cabinets especially designed for teenage girls. Last but not least, we consider the mirror to be a mandatory item in any girl’s bedroom, so in some of the photos below you will notice they have a special status. Even though not all the room design ideas have a particular theme, the decorating elements are very well interconnected creating interiors that are both functional and aesthetic.
