Il Trullo Today – Bridge Between Tradition and Luxury

Puglia, southern Italy, the heel of the boot. The region is becoming increasingly popular as travellers discover the area's varied charms: baroque towns, white-washed trullo houses, olive groves and orchards, blue sea and beaches, plenty of sunshine and excellent cuisine.

A trullo (plural, trulli) is a traditional pugliese stone dwelling with a conical roof. It is specific to Itria Valley, in the Murge area of the Italian region of Puglia. They may be found in the towns of Alberobello, Locorotondo, Fasano, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Ceglie Messapica. Traditionally trullo was built without any cement or mortar, thus avoiding taxation.

70′s Organic Architecture & Rough Masculine House

This rough masculine house located in a small coastal village in the Tramuntana region of Majorca, a house style inspired of the 70's organic architecture its very masculine house design. The owner of this house is a famous fashion show producer and furniture designer, Alexandre de Betak. Inside the house, the decor in every room and the interior is very simple and even rough. Very unique house with ambiance that is very minimal but warmly.

The Safe House, Poland If you want a house that provides the feeling of security, then take a look at the Safe House. This residence is siting on a 6,100 sqf plot at the outskirts of Warsaw, Poland, and was designed by KWK Promes. The house takes the form of a cube and presents a lot of inventive features such as sliding walls and shutters, a roll-down gate and a system that allows the building to acquire energy during the day, which can be later used. At night this huge house looks like a sealed space, but when it opens up the eastern and western side walls create a courtyard.
